The market opened in April 2024 in a renovated space that previously housed Wind Gap Vac N Sew, a business offering vacuum and sewing machine sales, service and accessories.
“It is with a heavy heart that we share some bittersweet news: Stryker Market in Wind Gap will be permanently closing, effective at the close of business today,” Sunday’s announcement reads.
“This was not an easy decision. After much thought, we’ve chosen to prioritize precious time with our family and refocus our energy on other areas of the business. Your incredible support and kind words over the years have meant the world to our team and made this journey truly special. We’ll continue sharing updates via our Facebook page and www.strykerfarm.com – including online shopping options for our farm products.”

Stryker Market was an extension of Stryker Farm, a 14-year-old livestock farm that owner Nolan Thevenet continues to operate about three miles away in the Saylorsburg section of Ross Township.
Thevenet named the farm after his maternal grandmother.
“Stryker is the maiden name of my grandmother, my mom’s mom, and I decided to name the farm after her because I have a lot of respect for her,” Thevenet told 69 News in 2024.
Stryker Farm’s products, which individuals can purchase online at strykerfarm.com, include grass-fed and pasture-raised beef and pork, including ground beef, ground pork, pulled pork, brisket, hot dogs, sausages, bacon, scrapple and various steaks, among other items.
Chicken and turkey products are also available.
Animals are naturally raised without GMOs, antibiotics and hormones.
