There is a new memorial in place for Marchello Woodard after the previous one was removed.
The Justice for Chello Coalition organized the event Monday evening to place the memorial and candles in front of the Probation and Parole Office in honor of Woodard.
Woodard was shot and killed on the night of July 2, 2025, during a compliance check on Erie’s east side. The incident involved a Pennsylvania state parole officer.
In a Facebook post, they state: “We will not allow Chello to be forgotten. We will not allow the agents to forget their obligation to the truth and to justice. We will not be silenced.”
