ALLENTOWN, Pa. (WFMZ) — If Allentown restaurants aren’t gearing up for Super Bowl Sunday, they’re busy with Downtown Restaurant Week.

From embodying the streets of Tokyo at Okatshe, to creating a slice of Havana at Rosa Blanca, despite the bitter cold, business is booming at both restaurants on Hamilton Street.

Okatshe is offering a fixed menu for $42 a person.

“We have four courses on the menus. We have some starters, some small plates. We have a dumpling course as well, then we’re doing sushi with a selection of a few different rolls and then we have some of our entrees to finish. We’re also including some edamame with the starters and mochi for dessert,” said Tyler Chambers, general manager of Okatshe.

Rosa Blanca is offering three courses for restaurant week at $39 a person.

“Very traditionally Cuban but with our own little flair to it,” said Frank DeFelice who serves as managing partner of Rosa Blanca.

Diners can get one appetizer, one entree, one dessert and a mocktail.

“We’re using this as a preview of our spring menu launch. We have a whole seasonal menu change coming up at the end of this month and using restaurant week as a time to showcase these dishes and get some mealtime feedback,” DeFelice explained.

Downtown Allentown Restaurant Week runs through Saturday, Feb. 7.
