• St. John’s Gernant’s Church (A Federated Congregation), 13 Gernant’s Church Road, Ontelaunee Township, will worship Sunday at 9:30 a.m. in the Memorial Hall, celebrating Souper Bowl Sunday. Bring cans of soup, no bottles, to be donated to the Schuylkill Valley Food Bank. There will be fellowship following the service.
• A crockpot luncheon will be held on Sunday to observe Souper Bowl Sunday after the 10:15 a.m. worship serviceat United Church of Christ of Robesonia, 301 W. Penn Ave. The men’s fellowship group will meet today at 8:30 a.m. at Heidelberg Family Restaurant, 910 W. Penn Ave., Robesonia. • Christ Lutheran Church, 222 Niantic Road, Douglass Township, Montgomery County, will observe Souper Bowl Sunday during the 9 a.m. worship service with a monetary collection of at least $2 and a non-perishable food item for Open Link, Pennsburg, from each member. Coffee and Conversation will be held at 8:30 and 10. There will be quilt tying on Tuesday at 10 a.m. followed by meeting in the Welcome Center to carpool to Frederick Living for lunch at noon. Brown bag Bible study will be held on Wednesday at noon. Bring lunch if you wish and a Bible.
• Good Shepherd United Church of Christ, 170 Tuckerton Road, Muhlenberg Township, will hold Boy Scout Sunday during its 10:30 a.m. worship service with Scouts taking part in the service.
• The Rev. Barry Spatz will lead worship on Sunday at 9:30 a.m. at Salem Lutheran Church, 8410 Lancaster Ave., Bethel Township. Refershements and conversation will be held in the multipurpose room after worship. The church is collecting winter coats for students in need at the local school district. Worshippers may bring them Sunday and members will transport them to the school district.
