Early morning fire destroys garage in Avoca

Crews battled a garage fire amid frigid temperatures early Sunday morning in Avoca.

AVOCA, Pa. — Flames destroyed a garage in Luzerne County early Sunday. 

Multiple fire departments were called to a commercial garage fire along the 1200 block of William Street in Avoca just before 2:30 am. Sunday.

Crews worked on scene for about 2 and a half hours amid freezing conditions, with temperatures dipping to -1°. 

No injuries were reported, and there is no word on what caused the fire.
