EASTON, Pa. – A tasty Super Bowl tradition played out once again on Sunday in downtown Easton.
Chili lovers gathered inside Bank Street Annex for the Easton Chili Cookoff.
For nearly three decades, the event was put on by Pearly Baker’s Alehouse.
But the restaurant decided not to participate this year.
So the annex teamed up with the Greater Easton Development Partnership to make it happen.
In total, 20 different restaurants competed for bragging rights.
“Easton is a shared downtown for a lot of communities and this is representative of what we do in downtown Easton, bringing people together for a fun event and raising money for a good cause,” said Jared Mast, executive director of the Greater Easton Development Partnership.
Proceeds from the cookoff will benefit the GEDP.
