WEST SENECA, N.Y. — The SPCA Serving Erie County announced Tuesday they’re looking for additional volunteers to join their Wildlife Department.

The SPCA Serving Erie County’s Wildlife Department, located at 300 Harlem Road, West Seneca, cares for sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife until they’re capable of going back into the wild.
Volunteers will help play a critical role in lifesaving work by helping with feeding, medicating and providing general care for the animals. Volunteers will also assist with cleaning, data entry and phone support.
Must be at least 18-years-oldMust be able to lift at least 20 poundsAttention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with limited supervisionExceptional kindness to animals, guests, volunteers and staffMust be able to work with and respectfully communicate with all staff and volunteers
Volunteers are asked to work a four-hour shift each week for at least a year to take get the most out of their extensive training.
