As the Eagles fill out their 2026 offensive coaching staff under Nick Sirianni and Sean Mannion, they are keeping a couple notable position coaches.
Running backs coach/assistant head coach Jemal Singleton and wide receivers coach Aaron Moorehead are both being retained, a league source confirmed to NBC Sports Philadelphia. The Philadelphia Inquirer’s Jeff McLane first reported the news on Tuesday.
Here’s what we know so far about the Eagles’ offensive staff:
Offensive coordinator: Sean Mannion
Passing game coordinator: Josh Grizzard
TEs/run game coordinator: Ryan Mahaffey
Offensive line: Chris Kuper
RBs/assistant head coach: Jemal Singleton
Wide receivers: Aaron Moorehead
Moorehead, 45, became the Eagles’ wide receivers coach in the 2020 season, the final under Doug Pederson and stayed on staff when Sirianni was hired. The Eagles job is Moorehead’s first coaching job in the NFL after spending a decade coaching at several colleges. Moorhead had a five-year NFL playing career as a receiver with the Colts.
Singleton, 50, was hired by Sirianni in 2021 as the Eagles’ running backs coach and assistant head coach after stints with the Colts, Raiders and Bengals. Even though Singleton was with the Colts, he and Sirianni did not overlap. Singleton’s hiring in 2021 was the product of the coaching search. Singleton has a strong relationship with starting running back Saquon Barkley and has seemingly done a good job during his time in Philly.
Singleton’s stop in Cincinnati from 2019-2020 as running backs coach was under head coach Zac Taylor, who came from the Sean McVay tree. As the Eagles install an offense and run game that comes from the world of Shanahan/McVay, Singleton at least has some familiarity.
The Eagles’ coaching staff will have a blend of preexisting coaches under Sirianni and new coaches after the hiring of Mannion as OC. Mannion clearly has influence on the new-look coaching staff, which is important as he implements a new scheme.
McLane also reported that other offensive assistants like Parks Frazier, Greg Austin, Eric Dickerson and Montgomery VanGorder are expected to return in roles that are to be determined. Meanwhile, the Eagles reportedly have not yet made a decision about the quarterbacks coach position. Former Bowling Green head coach Scot Loeffler held that role in 2025.
