John Heitsman had 16 points, as No. 10 Elk Lake captured its second straight Lackawanna League Division III boys basketball title with a 65-41 win over Montrose on Wednesday night at Elk Lake.

Chase Pond added 12 points, and Parker Upright and Kendel Jones each chipped in eight points for the Warriors (20-2, 13-1), who will be the No. 3 seed for the District 2 Class 2A playoffs. They will host No. 6 Lakeland (10-12) on Feb. 18 in the quarterfinals.

Montrose led, 16-14, after one quarter, but Elk Lake outscored the Meteors, 51-25, the rest of the way.

Jai Herman had 14 points for Montrose (9-13, 7-7).

Lackawanna Trail 64, Forest City 27: At Lackawanna Trail, Jimmy Phillips had 13 points to lead four players in doubles figures, as the No. 9 Lions secured a Division III win.

Logan Seigle had 11 points, while Ashton Thiel and Lucas Filipek each added 10 points for Lackawanna Trail (15-6, 10-4). The Lions will be the No. 3 seed for the District 2 Class 2A playoffs and will host either Mountain View or Wyoming Seminary in the quarterfinals Feb. 18.

TJ Collins had nine points for the Foresters (0-22, 0-14), who are the No. 7 seed for the District 2 Class 2A playoffs. Forest City will play at No. 2 Susquehanna in the quarterfinals Feb. 18.

Susquehanna 75, Blue Ridge 57: At Blue Ridge, five players scored in double figures for Susquehanna in its Lackawanna Division III victory.

Mason Keyes led the No. 8 Sabers (17-5, 12-2) with 19 points, 14 of which came in the second half. Griffin Fisk followed with 17 points, Jaxon Downton added 13 and Hudson Stengel and Linden Baker each netted 11.

Paxton Pingarelli poured in a game-high 27 points for the Raiders (9-11, 7-7). Landon Bishop chipped in 10 points.

Mountain View 60, Carbondale Area 58: At Mountain View, Hudson Bain scored 18 points, including seven in the fourth quarter, to lead the Eagles to a win in Division III.

Jordan Jagger added 17 points, and Aidan McCloskey had 11 for Mountain View (7-14, 5-9), which has one nonleague game remaining at Old Forge on Friday.

Francisco Roman scored 16 points to lead Carbondale Area (3-19, 2-12). Cole Becchetti added 14 points, and Jack Moran had 13 for the Chargers.

Holy Cross 65, Honesdale 34: At Honesdale, Jack Alpert had 17 points, including four 3-pointers, to lead the No. 5 Crusaders to a Division II win.

Colin Rittenbusch added 12 points, while Colin Farrell and Adam Badyrka each tacked on 11 for Holy Cross (13-9, 9-5). The Crusaders clinched the No. 4 seed for the District 2 Class 3A playoffs and will host rival and No. 5 seed Holy Redeemer (14-8) on Feb. 18 in the quarterfinals.

Levi Martin had eight points for the Hornets (8-14, 4-10). Honesdale is the No. 7 seed for the District 2 Class 4A playoffs and will play at No. 2 Scranton Prep in the quarterfinals Feb. 17.

Lakeland 54, Mid Valley 44: At Lakeland, Chase Rosenkrans scored 22 points and David Naniewicz added 18 to lead the Chiefs (10-12, 5-9) to the Lackawanna Division II victory.

Lakeland, the No. 6 seed, will play at No. 3 Elk Lake in the District 2 Class 3A quarterfinals Feb. 18.

Landon Pratt hit five 3-pointers and had a game-high 28 points for the Spartans (7-15, 3-11).

Scranton Prep 84, Wallenpaupack 59: At Scranton Prep, Packy Doherty had 25 points to lead the No. 4 Cavaliers to a Division I win.

Brody Martin added 15 points, while Chicky Skoff tacked on 14 points for Scranton Prep (17-5, 12-2).

Nick VanBuskirk had 18 points for the Buckhorns (8-14, 4-10). Wallenpaupack is the No. 4 seed for the District 2 Class 5A playoffs and will host North Pocono on Feb. 17 in the quarterfinals.

Valley View 56, Scranton 45: At Scranton, Jagger Roe scored 14 of his game-high 16 points in the second half to lead No. 6 Valley View to a Lackawanna Division I win.

Michael Muto hit four 3-pointers and finished with 14 points for the Cougars (17-5, 9-5). Noah Symuleski also had 11 points. Valley View is the No. 4 seed for the District 2 Class 4A playoffs and will host No. 5 Hanover Area (13-9) on Feb. 17 in the quarterfinals.

Alex Ludovici led the Knights (7-15, 4-10) with 12 points. Justin Mayers followed with 10 points. Scranton is the No. 5 seed for the District 2-4 Class 6A playoffs. The defending champion Knights play at No. 4 Hazleton Area (11-11) on Feb. 18 in the quarterfinals.

Delaware Valley 52, North Pocono 40: At North Pocono, Delaware Valley hit four 3-pointers in the second quarter and outscored the Trojans, 19-8, to break a tie after one quarter and go on to the Lackawanna Division I win.

Harrison Bixby led the Warriors (14-8, 7-7) with 13 points and Trey Newton added 11 points. Delaware Valley is the No.3 seed for the District 2-4 Class 6A subregional playoffs and will host No. 6 West Scranton on Feb. 18 in the quarterfinals.

Cole West had 16 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and three blocks to lead North Pocono (4-18, 1-13). The Trojans are the No. 5 seed for the District 2 Class 5A playoffs.

Abington Heights 70, West Scranton 47: At Abington Heights, Jordan Shaffer went 9 for 9 from the foul line in the fourth quarter to cap a 25-point performance in a win for the Lackawanna Division I champion Comets.

Andrew Kettel and Cooper Manning each scored 11 points for No. 3 Abington Heights (17-5, 14-0), which is the No. 1 seed for the District 2 Class 5A playoffs. The defending champion Comets earned a bye into the semifinals.

Nate Schimelfenig had a game-high 29 points for the Invaders (8-13, 5-9). West Scranton is the No. 6 seed for the District 2-4 Class 6A playoffs and plays at No. 3 Delaware Valley on Feb. 18.
