Three people were hurt Thursday morning in a three-car collision along Route 33 in Bethlehem Township.
Trooper Nathan Branosky, public information officer with Pennsylvania State Police’s Troop M, said the accident began just after 5:15 a.m. in the northbound lanes at mile marker 3.6.
It involved a 29-year-old man from Watsontown, Northumberland County, operating a 2023 Freightliner tractor-trailer; a 29-year-old man from Bethlehem, operating a 2025 Chevrolet Trax; and a 63-year-old man from Pennsburg, Montgomery County, operating a 2022 Peterbilt tractor-trailer.
It’s unclear what led up to the accident, but three people were taken to area hospitals for treatment of injuries. Their conditions were not immediately available Thursday afternoon.
The collision continues to be investigated by Pennsylvania State Police in Belfast.
