Host Blue Ridge erupted for 32 points in the second quarter on its way to a 79-35 win over Sayre in a nonleague boys basketball game Friday.

Paxton Pingarelli scored 23 points, 10 of which came in the second quarter, as the Raiders (10-11) built a 44-12 halftime lead.

Travis Rutter and Landon Bishop added 13 points apiece for the winners.

Tyrese Gamby led the Redskins (3-19) with 12 points. Riley Johnson and Dominic Mezzatesta each chipped in 10 points.

Girls basketball

At Tunkhannock, the host Lady Tigers put four players in double figures for a 58-38 nonleague win over Susquehanna on Friday.

Elizabeth Moore paced Tunkhannock (7-15) with 17 points. Aliyah Faux scored 10 of her 14 in the second half, while Makenzie Gregory scored six of her 12 points in the first quarter. Olivia Williams was the fourth player in double figures with 11 points.

For Susquehanna (4-18), Kiera Burke and Lauren Huyck combined for 23 of the team’s 38 points. Burke had a team-best 13, and Huyck added 10.

Girls wrestling

Lucy Ritzco won by decision at 136 pounds to help Valley View defeat Mid Valley, 33-12, in a girls wrestling match Friday.

Ava Pezanowski had a pin at 148 pounds for Mid Valley.
