Ever since Dancing Gnome opened their massive new brewery in Sharpsburg, we always wondered what would happen to their original, more intimate location along Main Street.
In late 2025, Dancing Gnome announced that the original bar would be opened, renamed Nine Two Five (perhaps the most appropriate street-address-turned-bar-name you could ask for), and would be a welcoming, all-around bar with beer, cocktails, wine, food, and more.
Naturally, we visited this one on the first soft open, and while we would fully argue this one is a cocktail bar first that also has great local brews and PA wines, this one really has something for everyone- including a new food menu from Blue Sparrow!
Dancing Gnome Gets Into the Cocktail Business at Nine Two Five

Before we made our way to Nine Two Five, in our head we thought this one would be primarily a beer bar with cocktails and wines. But, as soon as we arrived, we realized that our thought process was perhaps backwards.
The menu at Nine Two Five feels heavy on the cocktail front with roughly 14 house cocktails (classics and house creations, some with nods to the brewery) as well as three alcohol-free options on the front page. Throw on a healthy mix of beer on tap, with many Gnome favorites as well as others from nearby breweries, and Pennsylvania wine, and this one has a little something for everyone.
But the massive cocktail menu was calling to us, and we stuck to it during our first visit and were able to sample four delicious creations.
In our first round, we had Hop, Rock & Rye (a Lustra-hopped Old Fashioned) as well as the Workhorse (a rye-based cocktail with ginger brandy, house amaro, saffron, and Fernet). The Old Fashioned hit a nice sweet note that was balanced nicely with a more-than-noticeable hops presence. Could we tell it was Lustra hops? Perhaps not, but the bitterness in the cocktail was nice and a fun nod to the brewery’s flagship IPA. The Workhorse was true to its name and had a lot going on. It was boozy, bitter, and had a nice underlying saffron note as well- arguably one of our favorites of the evening.

For our second round, we opted for the Hazy Margarita (with tequila, salted lime preserves, orange, and gentian-agave) as well as the Paid Holiday (featuring botanical rum, pineapple, Stappi Aperitivo, and lemon preserves). The margarita felt like a nod to the brewery’s love of hazy IPAs, and was a solid margarita all around that had a nice, balanced sweetness with the acidity. Paid Holiday felt a bit tiki-esque thanks to the pineapple and rum combination, and while a bit simple, it brought a strong fruit presence for those who like those characteristics.
One thing we liked about the cocktails here in particular is that they were all quite reasonably priced. When cocktails in the city can easily run $14, $15, $16+ in 2025, it was nice to see most of them hovering around the $9-$11 mark at open.
Don’t Miss The Casual Food Menu from Blue Sparrow

Now, this bar would be a hit for us with the cocktails and beer tap list alone, but they go a bit further by having a modest food menu from the brewery’s long-term partner, Blue Sparrow.
Although the main brewery location has Blue Sparrow’s excellent pizzas and more, Nine Two Five has a bit of a pared-down menu of sandwiches and sides like soup, pub mix, and Utz cheeseballs, to name a few. While the food menu is small, it makes for a delicious and quick meal if you want something to go along with your drinks.
Ordered the Bacon Pickle Boi Sando (with bacon, house pickles, sharp cheddar, smoked gouda, and moon sauce), Buffy Buffy Chix Dip Sando (with buffalo chicken dip, smoked blue cheese, bacon, pepper jack, and visible peak ranch), as well as a serving of their seasonal Butternut Squash Bisque which made for a decent dinner all around. Both of the sandwiches were served griddled and were gooey and hit the mark for their respective flavor combinations.
But the bisque, oh that bisque was special. Made with a spice blend and chiles for some subtle (but noticeable) heat, it is the kind of soup that screams fall and is a testament to Blue Sparrow’s creativity with delicious food flavors. While we expect to see other soups and bisques come and go as the seasons change, we’re going to be keeping an eye on all of them because if it is anything like the Butternut Squash Bisque, they’ll be the kind of things we will always order a cup of- that is how good this particular bisque was!
Overall, we’re really excited that Dancing Gnome has reopened its original location as Nine Two Five. Although we’ll be visiting this one primarily for its star cocktails and food by Blue Sparrow, don’t overlook their tap list of Gnome beer, plus others from local friends, and Pennsylvania wines that are available as well. This is really the kind of bar where you can bring anyone for a drink, even those looking for a mocktail, and find something to enjoy!
Nine Two Five is located at 925 Main Street in Sharpsburg.
