North Pocono’s Rocco Rava

Rocco Rava had three goals, including the 50th of his career, as North Pocono edged Scranton Prep, 3-2, in a Lackawanna League Division I boys soccer match Monday.

Rava’s milestone goal came eight minutes into the first half off an assist from Sean Gager.

After Soleil Shrestha tied the game early in the second half, Rava scored four minutes later again off a feed from Gager to put the Trojans back in front. He converted a penalty kick in the 75th minute to make it 3-1. That turned out to be the winning goal since the Cavaliers’ Tyler Bianchi scored on a penalty kick with 1:59 left to provide the final margin.

Abington Heights 6, Delaware Valley 2: At Abington Heights, Jack Leuthe scored twice and Lucas Samara added one goal and one assist as the Comets defeated Delaware Valley in Lackawanna Division I.

Eric Choi scored both goals for the Warriors.

Marlie DeRenzis made four saves to earn the shutout for the Lady Trojans.
