EPHRATA, Pa. – A truck-maker based in Berks County is closing a manufacturing facility in Lancaster County, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Labor.
A notice filed in accordance with the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act says Morgan Truck Body will shutter its plant at 485 Wenger Drive in Ephrata.
92 workers will be impacted by the closure, which takes effect on December 15, the WARN notice said.

The company has several manufacturing facilities in the United States and Canada, including its headquarters at 111 Morgan Way in Caernarvon Township, Berks County.
According to its website, Morgan Truck Body was founded in 1952 by Elton Mountz in a small welding shop.
The company later grew into a major manufacturer of commercial truck bodies. Its fleet includes dry freight and refrigerated box trucks, furniture movers, platform trucks and dump trucks.
Morgan Truck is a subsidiary of J.B. Poindexter & Co., Inc., whose portfolio also includes the Reading based Reading Truck company.
