LOWER MERION — A portion of Penn Road in Wynnewood was closed Friday morning after a truck struck the bridge carrying the SEPTA and Amtrak lines over the road.

Police said no traffic will be permitted through the area until further notice.

Police reported that a truck going eastbound toward Wynnewood Road hit the bridge and became wedged underneath.

Penn Road was closed between Wynnewood Road and Aubrey Road. Along with the road being closed, the Wynnewood train station, which sits right next to Penn Road, was also closed. SEPTA also reported that train service was shut down on the Paoli-Thorndale Line.
