CLEVELAND — Snow and ice are back on the roads in Northeast Ohio, and some counties are issuing snow emergency notifications to keep drivers safe.

Huron County and Erie County are both under Level 1 Snow Advisory until further notice.

According to the 3News Weather Team, snow could briefly be moderate-to-heavy at times Sunday. Many areas will see a slow accumulation of a coating to 2 inches by sunset this evening. Slick spots will be possible, especially on bridges and overpasses.

In a Facebook post shared last month, the Ohio Department of Transportation noted the following: “ODOT does not issue snow emergency levels. Your local sheriff’s office holds jurisdiction over issuing them. Stay informed about the status in your county on social media or on the news. Adhere to the levels for your safety.”
