Pay what you can produce stand: Final event of the season, 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23. Duryea VFW Post 1227, 492 Stephenson St. Duryea Betterment Committee and the Food Dignity Movement’s “take what you need, pay what you can” produce stand is stocked with fresh, local produce from area farmers at a discount. Each participant will receive a bag and an envelope when they arrive. After packing the bag with food, place a donation in the envelope and return it to one of the event volunteers. Participants are not required to donate to receive produce.
