With the Lehigh Valley facing the impacts of a major snowstorm, area municipalities are postponing scheduled trash and recycling pickups.

Many of the affected pickups were scheduled during the brunt of the storm Monday and Tuesday, however, some pickups later in the week are also being affected.

Allentown trash and recycling collections have been canceled for Feb. 22.

Residents in the Sunday night collection zone may place out both trash and recycling on Wednesday night. Up to 10 bags of trash or 4 (32 gallon) trash cans will be allowed.

Trash and recycling collections have also been canceled for Monday night.

Residents in the Monday night collection zone may place their trash out on Thursday night. Up to 10 bags of trash or 4 (32 gallon) trash cans will be allowed.

Monday night recyclers are asked to hold their recycling until March 2.

The Recycling Drop Off Center on Martin Luther King Jr. Dr is currently closed to the public.

Allen Township trash and South Zone recycling collection for residents serviced by the municipal hauler, J.P. Mascaro & Sons, will now take place on Friday.

Bath: Sanitation will be collected on Thursday.

Bethlehem curbside recycling services will be running one day behind this week. Monday routes will be picked up Tuesday, Tuesday routes will be picked up Wednesday. Wednesday routes will be picked up Thursday, Thursday routes will be picked up Friday, Friday routes will be picked up Saturday.

Coopersburg: Trash collection will be on a “holiday schedule” and pushed back one day this week.

Coplay garbage pickup will be pushed back a day. Mondays pick up will be Tuesday and Tuesday will be picked up on Wednesday.

Easton: City of Easton trash and recycling collection will be delayed by one day all week. Tuesday will be picked up Wednesday, Wednesday will be picked up Thursday and Thursday will be picked up Friday.

Fountain Hill: Garbage pick-up will be delayed by one day. Garbage will be picked up on Tuesday.

Hanover Township, Northampton County: Whitetail Disposal will not operate Monday, due to the forecasted weather. All trash and recycling services will run on a one-day delay.

Monday service will be completed on Tuesday. Tuesday service will be completed on Wednesday. Wednesday service will be completed on Thursday. Thursday service will be completed on Friday. Friday service will be completed on Saturday.

Residents are asked to have equipment curbside the night before scheduled pickup and ensure equipment is free from snow and ice.

Hellertown: Monday’s Sanitation collection will occur Tuesday.  Tuesday will be a double pick up. Recycling will be collected Wednesday.

Lower Macungie: Trash and recycling services for Monday have been postponed until Tuesday. Waste Management will operate on a one-day delay for the remainder of the week.

Macungie: Trash and recycling will be operating on a one-day delay. Collection will occur on Tuesday. Put your trash and recycling out Monday evening for Tuesday morning pickup.

Palmer Township: No trash and recycling pick up Monday. Pick up will be delayed by one-day for the rest of the week.

Palmerton: Trash and recycling delayed by one-day this week.

Salisbury Township: Trash and recycling collection will be delayed by one day: Monday’s collection will occur on Tuesday and Tuesday’s collection will occur on Wednesday.

Slate Belt: Grand Central Landfill and Hauling will be closed on Monday. All trash and recycling collections will operate on a one-day delay this week. Pen Argyl Borough you will be collected on Saturday and Wind Gap Borough will be collected on Thursday.

West Easton: J.P. Mascaro will not be working on Monday, due to the snow storm. They plan to be operating in the Borough on Tuesday.
