Penn State Berks

The American Society of Engineering Education (ASEE) announced that Sadan Kulturel-Konak, professor of management information systems at Penn State Berks, has been elected Zone I chair and a member of the ASEE board of directors.

Kulturel-Konak is director of the college’s Flemming Creativity, Entrepreneurship and Economic Development Center and program chair for the college’s new bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary business with engineering studies and entrepreneurship and innovation minor.

Kulturel-Konak served in Middle Atlantic Section leadership roles at ASEE, chaired a regional conference and participated in conference program and awards committees. She served as a reviewer for ASEE conference proceedings and organized scholarly and professional sessions and workshops. She received the he 2024 ASEE Middle Atlantic Section Distinguished Teaching Award and several best paper awards.
