LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Lower Merion Township Police are taking on a weeks-long DUI crackdown that is already underway.

Now through Sept. 30, Lower Merion Township Police will be conducting impaired driving patrols throughout the township.

This initiative is in partnership with a national impaired driving crackdown featuring intensified, highly visible enforcement activities using the tagline “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over.”

The focus will be on finding motorists who are operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances.

Roving patrol details are funded by a PennDOT grant and are one of many tools used to increase public safety through increased awareness created by high profile enforcement.
