OBITUARY
Lynn E. Ernst, 85, of Edenburg, Windsor Twp., passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2026 in Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest.
She was the wife of Ralph P. Ernst, who died November 8, 1989.
Born in West Reading, she was the daughter of the late Irwin and Verna (Gruber) Henne. Lynn was a 1958 graduate of Hamburg High School. She worked as a payroll clerk at Pennsylvania Steel and various other companies.
Lynn was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hamburg, where she was a choir member for more than fifty-five years.
Lynn is survived by two daughters: Monica E. (Martin) Capitella, Hamburg; and Mindy L. (Martin) Rabert, wife of Keith Rabert, Kempton; three grandchildren: Jeret Reber, Daniel Capitalla and Andrea Capitella; and one great-grandson: Bryson Capitella.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 pm at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 99 Church Street, Hamburg, PA 19526. There will be a visitation with the family from 1:00-2:00 pm. Burial will be private in St. John’s Cemetery, Hamburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the church at the above address.
