SPRING TWP., Pa. – With dirt moving and heavy equipment on site, many wonder what’s going on in Spring Township.

So, 69 News went to SJC Ventures to find out what’s next for the developing Broadcast District.

“We’re full steam ahead right now,” said Matt Robinson, senior vice president of mixed-use development at SJC Ventures. “Weather permitting, I think we should see buildings going vertical really at the end of the spring or the beginning of the summer.”

Right now, crews are focused on site preparation.

“Once those utilities go in the ground, we can start paving roads and putting in curbs and sidewalks…and start erecting those buildings,” Robinson said.

The 115,000-square-foot development will be anchored by Whole Foods. About 15 to 20 tenants have committed so far.

“We’re pleased to announce that we’re also going to have a Chase Bank, Seven Brew Coffee, Qdoba, Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen, Hair Cuttery, Laser Away, Luna Nail Lounge, Sleep Number…” Robinson said.

There’s still about 10,000 square feet left to lease.

Developers say they’re hoping to add pet services, fitness options and possibly another major restaurant. And there’s more.

“We have also named the streets,” Robinson said. “The main entrance off Broadcasting Road will be Echo Ridge Drive…and the main entrance off Paper Mill Road, that will be Signal Boulevard.”

The full project is expected to open in fall 2027.
