LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Lower Merion Township is hosting two clean up days this next month.
The free clean-up weekend is Oct. 4 and Oct. 5 at the Public Works Complex.
Lower Merion Township residents only can get rid of various items at the complex from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.
Unwanted refuse, recyclables, small household appliances, textiles, plastics, glass, paper, aluminum are accepted at the clean-up days.
Recyclable materials must be separated from household trash.
Several non-profit groups will be on hand to collect bicycles, computers, furniture, clothing, and more.
Items not accepted are TVs, oil based paints, household hazardous waste, and construction or demolition debris.
Latex paint is accepted, but must be hardened for disposal.
Proof of Lower Merion Township residency is required to use the service.
The Public Works Complex is located at 1300 N. Woodbine Ave. in Penn Valley.
