OBITUARY
James J. Munley, 80, of Taylor died Sunday, March 1, 2026 at home. His wife is the former Christal Gudaitis. He was preceded in death by wife Carol Fleck Munley.
Prior to retirement he was employed as a truck driver.
His family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Hospice of the Sacred Heart for their compassionate care.
Surviving are sons James Munley, Scranton; grandson Marcus Munley; step-daughters Felicity Gudaitis, Destiny Gudaitis, Serenity Gudaitis; step-son Andrew Mitchko.
He was preceded in death by son Francis Munley and several siblings.
A blessing service will be held Friday at 7 pm in the Solfanelli-Fiorillo Funeral Home Inc., 1030 N. Main Ave., Scranton. Family and friends may pay their respects Friday from 5 pm until time of service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 30 Ed Preate Dr. Suite 108, Moosic, PA 18507.
