A new Hobby Lobby will soon give shoppers another place for arts and crafts, home decorations and holiday merchandise in the Lehigh Valley.
Hobby Lobby has signed a lease with Goodman Properties and plans to open this year at the Airport Shopping Center in Hanover Township, Lehigh County, Speedwell Construction Project Manager Brian Strickler said.
Speedwell Construction is constructing roughly 24,000-square-foot in storage space for Hobby Lobby, which will operate at the former Christmas Tree Shops at 916 Airport Center Road.
Strickler said that once they finish constructing the addition mid-to-late April, Hobby Lobby would then arrange for fit-out construction inside their new space, a role that he hopes Speedwell Construction can take on as well.
Representatives for Hobby Lobby and Goodman Properties couldn’t immediately be reached for comment.
The chain also has locations in Upper Macungie and Palmer townships.
