Just before 5 p.m. yesterday, a severely injured puppy—named Mimi—was rushed to a veterinarian after being found in critical condition.
The Anna Shelter have now confirmed that an arrest has been made in connection with the case. Mimi is currently fighting for her life after suffering what rescuers describe as unimaginable cruelty. Veterinary staff are doing everything they can to save her.

In a post shared just 30 minutes ago, the Anna Shelter wrote in part: “Someone hurt her, tortured her, and caused her tremendous suffering. That someone is now in custody, arrested on felony charges of animal cruelty.”
Shelter officials also provided an update moments ago, saying: “We are so thankful to the Pennsylvania State Police and the Anna Shelter family. Mimi is now our dog, and she is loved.”
