The Experience Children’s Museum in Erie is partnering with the Achievement Center of LECOM Health to expand inclusive opportunities for local children and families.
Beginning March 22, the museum will launch “Au‑Some Mornings,” sensory‑friendly sessions designed for children with autism and sensory sensitivities. The events will include dimmed lighting, reduced noise, modified exhibits, quiet areas, and sensory‑focused activities to create a more comfortable environment.
As part of the collaboration, the museum is also introducing new developmental play prompts in its Tot Spot area for children under age two. These prompts are intended to support movement, communication, and early social interaction between young children and their caregivers.
The first Au‑Some Morning will take place from 10 a.m. to noon on March 22. Admission is $5, and pre‑registration is required. Staff from the Achievement Center will be on‑site to assist families throughout the event.
