Lower Merion 250 invites nonprofit organizations planning history-related activities in 2026 to join a township-wide collaboration marking the nation’s 250th anniversary.

The celebration will feature lectures, walking tours, public festivals, historic preservation projects, and more, all of which will take place in Lower Merion throughout 2026.

Initially spearheaded by Merion Friends Meeting, Harriton Association, the Lower Merion Historical Society, and the Lower Merion Conservancy, Lower Merion 250 will showcase the Township’s diverse stories and cultural resources, including historic sites of national significance.

This initiative is open to all non-profit organizations in Lower Merion with plans to commemorate the nation’s Semiquincentennial anniversary.
