READING, Pa. – Two men have been charged in connection with the killing of another man in Reading more than six years ago.

RPD investigators announced Friday that they have obtained warrants for the arrests of Xavier Carrasquillo and Eliezer Carrasquillo on charges of first- and third-degree murder.

Xavier Carrasquillo surrendered to authorities on Friday; Eliezer Carrasquillo is already in a state prison in Northumberland County for an unrelated case.

2014 homicide on South 11th Street in Reading

The charges stem from the fatal shooting of a man in the 200 block of South 11th Street on June 11, 2014. Brock Neely died after being shot several times; a second man was shot in the leg.

Neighbors told the police at the time that they heard as many as 30 shots.

The police said they believe a third person was involved in the shooting. They’re asking anyone with information that can help them make another arrest in the case to contact detectives by calling 610-655-6116.
