PHL Food & Shops at Philadelphia International Airport is attempting to set a Guinness World Record for the Longest Line of Cheesesteaks on display in honor of National Cheesesteak Day on Tuesday, March 24.

According to an NBC10 Philadelphia report, all restaurants at the airport with cheesesteaks on their menus, including Chickie’s & Pete’s, Geno’s Steaks, Jim’s South St. Famous Cheesesteaks, Passyunk Steaks, Tony Luke’s, and more will work together to create a continuous, “concourse-spanning line” of authentic Philadelphia cheesesteaks throughout the connector area between Terminals B and C.

A Guinness World Records adjudicator will be on-site to verify the final count and determine whether the record has been achieved.

According to FOX29 Philadelphia, all the cheesesteaks will be served to passengers following the attempt. Any remaining cheesesteaks will be donated to Philabundance.

The cheesesteak record event is part of PHL Cheesesteak Week, running from March 23 to March 29, at the airport. That week, travelers can enjoy cheesesteak-inspired dishes, secure special meal deals, and join interactive festivities honoring Philadelphia’s iconic sandwich.
