Angeline C. (Torchia) Green
OBITUARY
Angeline Clara (Torchia) Green, our loving mother, passed on March 4, 2026, peacefully with her children by her side at Hellenic Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Canton, MA. She was preceded in death by her loving sons John Edward Green and Casey Nicholas Green, her grandchildren Erin Lynn Kimler, Cody Nicole Green, and Jaelyn Green, and many beloved family members.
Born on September 1, 1940, in Scranton, PA. She was the daughter of the late Nicolas Torchia and Nicoletta (Nardella) Torchia. She attended Technical High School where she was voted most popular girl and was involved in many clubs and activities. A few are National Honor Society and Twirlers and Color Guard. After high school, she attended St. Mary’s School of Nursing, Mercy Hospital in Scranton, PA and graduated as a Registered Nurse (RN).
She married John T. Green and resided in Bath, Maine for 27 years. While raising her family, our loving mother worked as an RN at Bath Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed knitting, cooking, and attending St. Mary’s Parish where she was an eucharistic minister and communicant.
She eventually moved to Sebring, FL and retired from Highlands County Sherif’fs Office. She enjoyed writing for Sebring Hills newspaper, volunteering for many organizations, and participated in many social clubs. She also enjoyed traveling to 48 states. She had many wonderful friends and a fianc, Gale (Stormy) Thompson. Angie was a member of St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Sebring, FL where she was communicant and eucharistic minister.
Angie is survived by 3 daughters, Patria Kimler and husband Randy of Great Mills, MD, Nicoletta Harper of Norwood, MA, and Carol Green and her fianc Paul of Hollywood, MD. Two sons, Angelo Green and wife Melissa of Bath, ME and Anthony Green and wife Lauren of Covington, LA. 23 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. A brother Angelo Torchia and wife Marjorie of New York City and sister Carmella Wilce and husband Gerald (deceased) of Sparta, NJ.
Angie’s family expresses their deepest gratitude to all the staff at Hellenic Nursing and Rehabilitation Center who provided loving care for Angie while she resided there in her past year.
A mass will be held at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Norwood, MA followed by a service at a later date at Chapel of Peace Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Avon Park, FL.
