Boca Raton, Fla. — The UMBC Baseball team fell 4-3 in 10 innings in the series finale at Florida Atlantic on Sunday.

The Dawgs, who out-hit the hosts 12-7, took a 1-0 lead in the first on a Danny Wyatt RBI single. The lead became 2-0 in the third on a Danny Orr RBI double that would plate Wyatt. The Owls trimmed the deficit in half to 2-1 in the bottom of the third, but Carver Salazar homered in the fourth to make it 3-1. After FAU again cut the lead to one in the bottom of the fourth, it remained 3-2 all the way until the eighth. The hosts scored an unearned run after an error and then would walk-off in the bottom of the 10th.

Orr, Wyatt, Ehi Okojie and Derek Paris all had two hit games, while Salazar, Jesiah Carpenter, Anthony Mascuilli and Dylan Melton all had a hit.

Brady LeJeune-DeAcutis had his best start of the season, going 7.0 innings, striking out three and allowing just one earned run on three hits.

UMBC travels to Delaware State on Tuesday.
