At the beginning of the month, Baroness played the Underground Arts in Philadelphia. With a capacity of 650, this was the most intimate performance possible!
Baroness have been around for twenty years and the band still finds a way to reinvent their live shows. They sound incredible and continue to display why they’re one of the most consistent acts working today. There’s a reason this band feels timeless. The music they play doesn’t fit into an era but encompasses all of human emotion and experiences.
It’s been three years since the band released Stone, and received critical acclaim and commercial success. Even without a new album to promote the band gave it their all in their performances. Their setlist in Philly composed of a career spanning set. The majority of the show was tracks off their Blue record and their Yellow & Green LP.
Whether you’re moshing, dancing, crowd-surfing, head-banging, or just taking it all in, it’s impossible not to have a good time at a Baroness show. Please enjoy these pictures taken from our staff photographer Anthony Vito Cosentino. They truly capture the energy and magic of seeing Baroness live.
