Patricia R. “Patty” Munn, 84, of Rte. 6, Corry, Pa., passed away Sunday, March 15, 2026, at UPMC Hamot in Erie, Pa.
She was born Sept. 27, 1941, in Union City, Pa., the daughter of the late George Beardsley and Joan Beardsley TenHaken.
Patty graduated from Corry Area High School in 1959, and spent the next 55 years raising her family and serving the community as a dedicated healthcare professional. She was proud of her time working as a nurse’s aide for local doctors at the Corry Medical Group, then training and responding to emergencies as an EMT, but the job that truly fulfilled her was her many years as a Respiratory Therapist at Corry Memorial Hospital. She loved helping others and brightened their day with a smile and comforting words.
She was a member of the Corry Alliance Church and was active in many church activities throughout her lifetime. She was also a member of the Zonta Club of Corry, the Corry Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Corry Fine Arts Auxiliary and the Red Hatters. Patty enjoyed auctions, golf, softball, volleyball, basset hounds and traveling, especially her rides with her hound dog, Molly. She loved and enjoyed her family and never missed a sporting event or musical.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, James H. “Jim” Munn of Corry; her children: Connie (Donald) Cooper of Corry; Doug (Gerene) Craker of Templeton, Calif., Jim (Amy) Craker of Jamestown, N.Y.; stepchildren, Donna (Kim) Thompson of Conway, S.C., and Dennis (Jane) Munn of Athens, Pa.; five grandchildren: Ric (Rachel) Craker of Orion, Ill., Marlee Craker of Salt Lake City, Utah, Cass Craker of Templeton, Calif., Zack Craker of Keesler AFB, Miss., Robyn Craker of Jamestown; five step grandchildren: Rachel Williamson of Chemung, N.Y., David (Sarah) Munn of Athens, Sarah Munn of Athens; five step great-grandchildren; a sister, Diane (Joe) Winkel of San Leandro, Calif., and several special nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Richard “Rick” Craker, sisters Sandy Woodard, and Becky Gibson and niece, Joanie Thomas.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, March 19, at Bracken Funeral Home Inc., 315 N. Center St., Corry, PA 16407, from 5 to 7 p.m. and on Friday, March 20, at Corry Alliance Church, 721 Hatch St., Corry, PA 16407, from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at noon. Pastor Dan Beeman will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Corry Memorial Hospital, 965 Shamrock Lane, Corry, or the Corry Alliance Church.
