The Giant Company is helping to ensure families have what they need to celebrate Easter.
The grocery store chain delivered 200 hams to Helping Harvest just in time for the holiday. The nonprofit organization will distribute the hams to families throughout Berks and Schuylkill counties who are experiencing food insecurity.
Giant team members then spent time volunteering at the food bank in Spring Township on Tuesday.
The ham donation has become an annual tradition for Giant. The company will donate 3,000 hams to 14 hunger-relief organizations across Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia over the coming weeks.
