BETHLEHEM, Pa. – A man from the Lehigh Valley died in a fall at a popular hiking spot in Lackawanna County. 

On Tuesday, police and emergency responders were dispatched to the area of  the “Lost Trails” on Dunham Drive in Dunmore for the report of a male who had been missing since the prior evening, according to the press release. 

Family and friends of the male had gathered in the area, while others continued along the trails in search of the man, Dunmore Borough police said. 

Officials say at approximately 3:45 p.m., a body was reported to be approximately 200 feet below a cliff, commonly referred to as “Top of the World.”

Investigators were able to identify him as Zackary Caflin of Bethlehem, based on his clothing, according to police.

Detectives of the Dunmore Police investigated the incident and were able to rule out foul play or a deliberate act.

This incident was an accident, according to the press release.
