Several colleges and universities in our area are getting state money to use on campaigns to combat sexual assault.
Lafayette College in Easton and Moravian University in Bethlehem received $40,000 each, said state Sen. Lisa Boscola.
Kutztown University also received $40,000, and Alvernia University in Reading was awarded $30,490, said state Rep. Manuel Guzman.
The Pennsylvania Department of Education awarded the grants through the “It’s on Us” initiative. The goal is to raise awareness of and combat sex assault on college campuses. The campaign also provides support services for survivors.
