World Oddities Expo Returns With a Weekend of Unique Art, Preserved Specimens, Taxidermy Classes, Contortionists, and More

The World Oddities Expo is making its return to Philly for its 7th annual showcase—bringing a weekend packed with macabre art, science, and unforgettable experiences.

Taking place on March 28 and 29th, the event will transform Hall F at the Pennsylvania Convention Center into a one-of-a-kind playground celebrating all things weird and wonderful.

The World Oddities Expo (WOE) is a traveling event that blends art, history, science, and entertainment into a single immersive experience. Designed for curious minds and lovers of the unconventional, the expo brings together a community that embraces the bizarre, the creative, and the unknown.

From rare collectibles and handcrafted oddities to live performances and hands-on workshops, WOE offers something for everyone—whether you’re a seasoned collector or just looking for a unique weekend experience.

Guests can browse dozens of eclectic vendors and small businesses, offering everything from:

Taxidermy art
Preserved specimens
Handmade curiosities
Alternative fashion and accessories

One of the most talked-about features of the expo is the Deformed Exhibit, a traveling collection of rare preserved specimens showcasing medical anomalies and unusual biological phenomena.

Available as an add-on to general admission or VIP tickets, the exhibit offers a deeper dive into the intersection of science and curiosity—providing a rare opportunity to see specimens that challenge expectations and spark conversation.

For those looking to get involved, WOE Labs offers interactive workshops where guests can learn new skills in a creative and welcoming environment.

Classes may include:

Taxidermy basics
Rat skeleton articulation
Miniature terrarium and diorama building

All experience levels are welcome, with instructors guiding participants step-by-step through each process.

Throughout the weekend, the WOE Main Stage will host a rotating lineup of live entertainment, featuring performers that push the boundaries of traditional stage acts.

Expect everything from:

Contortionists
Sideshow-inspired performances
Clown acts

For those looking to take the experience home in a permanent way, check out the Oddity Ink Parlour, where attendees can get tattooed on-site by artists from across the country.
