Easter egg hunt: An Easter egg hunt sponsored by the Jermyn Police Department, the Jermyn Lions Club and Jermyn Knights of Columbus Council 7622 will be held March 28 at noon at the Artisan Volunteer Fire Company, 20 Maple St. Candy, eggs and other giveaways will be part of the activities. The hunt is open to children up to 12 years of age. The Easter egg hunt will take place rain or shine as the hose company facilities can accommodate any weather.

Pascha, nut rolls and homemade cookies will be for sale; 50/50 raffle tickets will be available for $5. Prizes will be 30%, 10% and 10% of gross profits. No preorders.

Annual pig roast: Keystone UNICO will hold the 14th Anniversary Pig Roast on April 11 at Fiorelli’s Catering in Peckville. This year Rock Steady Boxing, Valhalla Veterans Services and Weinberg Northeast Regional Food Bank are being honored and will be beneficiaries from the event. The evening includes a professional 5×7 keepsake photo by photographer Rich Banick, and a roving photographer will take your ad-lib picture requests; two hours open bar with hors d’oeuvres during the first hour; entertainment by Frank Gervasi and an Italian buffet. There will be a basket raffle, novelty raffles and a special “Wheelbarrow of Spirits” raffle with tickets at $10 each or three for $25 and available for purchase prior to the event.
