Craving a little science in your Sundays at Blasco Library?
Get ready for a hands-on wildlife adventure the whole family will love! Join us for “Skins & Skulls,” an interactive, family-friendly event held at CLEER in Blasco Library.
Explore a variety of real animal skins and skulls at engaging stations, and put your detective skills to the test. Can you tell if an animal is a carnivore, herbivore or omnivore? Does it live in water, trees or underground? Come find out! This fun and educational experience is led by retired Gannon professor Dr. Steve Ropski, a passionate educator and ecologist who has spent decades inspiring students both in and out of the classroom.
From studying hibernation in meadow jumping mice to performing on stage at the Erie Playhouse, Dr. Ropski brings energy, knowledge and a love of learning to everything he does.
This free event is perfect for kids, families and anyone interested in the natural world. Stop by anytime between 1 and 4 p.m. and discover the stories animals leave behind!
Each Sunday offers a free, drop-in exploration on rotating science topics from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
