An independently owned Shop ‘n Save in Ross Township will close its doors in April. Officials confirmed to Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 that the Shop ‘n Save at Pines Plaza in Ross Township will close on April 4. The decision was made after officials say they evaluated “the ongoing business conditions impacting the grocery industry.”Officials say the owner of the Pines Plaza store also owns the locations on Rochester Road in Ross Township and Butler Street in Glenshaw. Those stores are both slated to remain open.The inventory from the Pines Plaza location will be redistributed to the other two locations. Employees from the closing store have been offered opportunities to work within the store network. “We’re a local, family-owned business, and this community means everything to us,” said owner Mike Mihelic. “While this location is closing, we’re still here and proud to continue serving our customers at our nearby stores, with many of our team members continuing with us at those locations.”
