Denise Jamette (Hines) Williams
OBITUARY
Denise Jamette (Hines) Williams, 70, of Reading, PA, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026. Born January 14, 1956, to the late Loretta (Harris) Hines and James Edward Hines, Denise was known for her kindness, strength, humor, and unwavering faith. Affectionately called “Nise” or “Dennis,” she touched many lives with her compassion and generosity.
Denise received her education through the Reading School District where she later returned to work in many capacities for 23 years until her retirement. She was an after-school instructor, a one-on-one Specialist, an Education Assistant, and an overall team player who was willing to help wherever help was needed.
Denise devoted her life to her family and to serving the Lord. As she would say, she was “God’s favorite child” and she lived her life in service to Him.
Denise’s legacy of faith, love, and life is carried on by her four children, Sonya R. Jones (Alexandria, VA), Christopher Jones, II (Alexandria, VA), Devin N. Jones (Alexandria, VA), and Tiara M. Jones (Laurel, MD). She also leaves behind her cherished sisters AnNette M. Hines (Georgia), MiChele D. Hines (Reading, PA); her beloved brothers Gary Hines (Georgia), Eric Hines (Georgia), and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
