The Community Blood Bank from March 21 to March 27 will gift donors a $15 gift card to provide relief at the pump during a time when gas prices are on the rise.
Blood supply is critical at this time, and this promotion hopes to encourage donations from the community. Donations ensure vital blood is available for patients in need of transfusions, trauma, cancer treatments, and other medical conditions.
“Every donation makes a direct impact on patients in our local hospitals,” said Megan Solensky, Community Relations Specialist at the Community Blood Bank. “We know rising gas prices are affecting everyone, so we wanted to give back to our donors in a meaningful and practical way.”
Donations can be made at the Community Blood Bank Donor Center at 2646 Peach Street.
Scheduled appointments are not needed but are encouraged and can be made by calling (814) 456-4206.
