AKRON, Ohio – Jensen Wagoner and Walker Harris combined for a five-hitter to beat Lake Erie, 4-0, and complete a sweep of a G-MAC twinbill at Skeeles Field.
Wagoner, 2-3, struck out five in 6 1/3 innings and Harris got the final two outs for his first save.
Max Doepker went 3-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored. Six other players had base hits for Cedarville, 10-12 overall and 4-2 G-MAC.
The Yellow Jackets piled up 13 hits to win the first game, 5-4. Eli Henderson bunted home Doepker with the go ahead run in the eighth inning to break a 4-4 deadlock.
Chris Montes de Oca got the scoring started in the second with a three-run double.
Graham Ward stroked three hits and Jackson Leaman doubled twice to spark the offense.
Henderson, Micah George, and Kaden Wilde added two hits apiece.
Reliever Jordan Geiger, 2-0, was credited with the victory. He tossed three scoreless innings allowing just one hit with three strikeouts.
