Bowlers from across the community hit the lanes on Sunday at Eastway Lanes, all for a good cause.

The 38th annual Charities for Children Adult Bowling Tournament brought out strong participation, with organizers hosting two sessions to accommodate the large turnout.

The event raises money for local children’s charities and organizations, with a unique twist, rather than taking home prize money, tournament winners receive funds to donate to a children’s charity of their choice. Participants could select from fourteen different organizations dedicated to serving Erie’s youth.

Organizers said the continued support highlights the community’s commitment to giving back and supporting programs that make a difference for children across the region.

After the tournament, participants could enjoy dinner at South Erie Turners.

Donation checks from the event will be distributed to the selected children’s charities on March 26.
