From Humane Pennsylvania
Humane Pennsylvania has announced the return of its signature fundraiser, the Walk for the Animals! The 49th annual Walk for the Animals will take place on Saturday, May 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Berks County Fairgrounds, 1216 Hilltop Road, Leesport, PA. Registration will start at 10 a.m. The walk will start at 11 a.m.
Following two highly attended themed Walks, the tradition will continue this year with another Star Wars-inspired theme: “Return of the Walkers!” The event invites animal lovers from across the region to participate in a leisurely one-mile stroll alongside their dogs, family members, and friends while supporting Humane Pennsylvania’s mission.
In addition, attendees can enjoy a full day of activities, including live music sets from Walk legends Neo Trio, as well as Emme Ryan & Damien Drago. The event will also feature local vendors, games, dog contests presented by media sponsor, WEEU, and a variety of food trucks, including Fresh Frenchy’s, Shades of Green, and SQeeZD Lemonade.
Admission to the event is free, but your registration helps save the lives of thousands of animals in need! Registration is $25.00 for adults and $15.00 for children and includes a limited-edition, Star Wars-inspired Walk for the Animals T-shirt. Participants who register after Wednesday, April 15, are not guaranteed a t-shirt.
VIP Walker passes are available for $75.00 and come with additional benefits, including a dog bandana, access to an all-you-can-eat buffet, a wag bag, and entry to the beer and wine garden.
The 49th annual Walk for the Animals is made possible in part by Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Blazing Technologies Inc., Jersey Ink Custom Apparel, Spike & Tilly’s Pet Resort, WEEU, Kristen Sandel – In Memory of Christine Buckley-Papada, Honey Brook Day Camp, Zero Gravity Designs, Willow Creek Veterinary Center, Isaiah Ayala/EXP Realty, Berks Pet Care, Window Genie of Reading, The Muttley Crew, May the Schwartz be with you!, Anonymous, Dave and Vicki Fisher, Dogtopia of Sinking Spring, Eric Miller REMAX Realtors, Karen Linder and Jim Blickle, My Pet’s Brace, Paul and Tracy Marrella, Thrivent-Five Pillars Financial Group, and additional supporters.
