Make a Difference Monday: 20th Annual Battle of the Badges hockey game returns to Reading | Make A Difference Monday

READING, Pa. – The Battle of the Badges Scholarship Fund is holding its 20th annual ice hockey game this Saturday at Reading’s Santander Arena.

The fund was created in 2007, to provide scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are children of Reading firefighters or police officers, either active, retired, or deceased.

The event features an ice hockey game between the Reading Police & Fire Departments and the Berks County Law Enforcement.

While the winning team gets bragging rights for their troop, all proceeds are headed to local students on their way to college or a v-o-tech (vocational-technical) school.
