SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police say a man is in custody after shots were fired following a reported armed robbery in Scranton on Monday evening.
28/22 News I-Team Reporter Avery Nape was there as authorities were investigating a reported incident at the US Mini Market on Pittston Avenue in Scranton.
Scranton Police Sergeant Megivern told 28/22 News authorities were called to the area after a reported armed robbery.
Man allegedly runs from police after crashing into ditch
Police say shots were fired shortly after they arrived, and at least one bullet struck a home across Pittston Avenue.
Police add that they are working to determine who fired the shots in this incident.
Authorities explain that a man is in custody, and there is no threat to the public at this time.
Officials say there are no reported injuries after the incident.
