PITTSBURGH, PA — SouthSide Works soon will welcome to its list of eateries an artisan bakery cafe specializing in fresh-baked crossiants and laminated pastries.

Opa Fe is slated to open this summer in a 4,200-square-foot space at 2720 Sidney Street.

Founded by Opal Group, a firm specializing in hospitality ventures, Opa Fé will blend an European baking heritage with a sleek, modern aesthetic.

“Our vision is to bring joy through artisan craftsmanship,” said Andy Qian, funder and CEO of Opa Fé. “By combining high-end European pastry culture with Pittsburgh’s unique community spirit, we’ve created a space that feels both elevated and authentic to the Steel City.”

Menu highlights will include artisan croissants featuring classic and seasonal laminated pastries; wellness-forward treats featuring reduced-sugar pastries and whole-grain options; and specialty beverages featuring a curated selection of matcha, fruit and milk teas, and premium coffee.
