EMMAUS, Pa. – A decades-old destination for fried rice, lo mein, wonton soup and other Chinese specialties will soon end operations in the Lehigh Valley.

Ling Nan Chinese Restaurant, a fast-casual eatery offering Mandarin, Szechuan, Cantonese and Hong Kong cuisine, will hold its last day of business on March 31 at 1328 Chestnut St. in Emmaus, Lehigh County, co-owner Kelly Jian told 69 News.

Jian and her husband have operated the restaurant since 1986.

“After proudly serving our community for 40 years, the time has come for us to retire and close this chapter of our journey at month end (March 31st, 2026),” reads a message posted at the restaurant.

“We are deeply grateful for your support, loyalty, and friendship throughout the years. Many of you have become more than customers – you have become part of our extended family.”

Ling Nan operates next to Green Earth Marketplace in the Emmaus Shopping Center.

The restaurant features seating for around 30 guests, but only takeout service is currently being offered.

Customers can enjoy appetizers such as egg rolls, shrimp toast and boneless spare ribs; various fried rice, chow mein, chop suey and lo mein selections; and various beef, pork chicken, duck, seafood and vegetable options such as beef with cashew nuts, kung pao chicken, roast pork with snow peas, shan ghai sesame duck, sweet and sour shrimp and broccoli with garlic sauce.

Other menu highlights include Hunan, Szechuan and chef’s specialties (with steamed rice), including Hunan beef, Hunan shrimp and scallops, Four Seasons (jumbo shrimp, beef, chicken and roast pork with Chinese vegetables in mild brown sauce); Szechuan Triple (sliced chicken, beef and roast pork stir-fried with snow peas, water chestnuts, cabbage and mushrooms in Szechuan spicy brown sauce) and Hong Kong pineapple chicken (chunks of chicken with green pepper, celery, carrots and other Chinese vegetables and pineapple in white sauce).
